Apples
Cinnamon

For the icing (optional):

Method:
1. Peel and core the apples, then cut them into cubes. Mix these well with 2 tsp of the cinnamon.
2. Mix the flour, butter, vanilla extract, milk, eggs, white sugar, and baking powder in a large bowl, stirring until you have a smooth batter.
3. Fill a baking dish with half the batter and cover with half the cinnamon-apples.
4. Now pour the rest of the batter into the form and place the remaining apple cubes on top. Mix together the last tsp of cinnamon and brown sugar, then sprinkle it over the apples.
5. Bake the cake in a pre-heated oven at 180 C° for 50 minutes.
6. As soon as the cake has cooled off, stir the powdered sugar in with the milk to make your icing. Then pour it carefully in pretty stripes over the cake.
