Supplier Instructions
Upon every supply order, the ships caterer's appointed suppliers receive strict instructions concerning quality, shelf life, labeling, cold chain management, packaging, transport and sanitary condition.
All goods, except for fresh items, must have an expiry date printed on the packing. Production dates or similar are not acceptable.
You should expect the shelf life to be as long as possible from date of supply, with a minimum for following food groups:
Canned items – 6 months 
Fresh eggs – 6 weeks 
Frozen meat and fish - 6 months 
Frozen vegetables and fruits – 6 months 
Fruit juices - 6 months 
Grocery items (coffee, tea, sugar, biscuits,...) - 6 months 
Ice cream - 6 months 
Long life dairy (milk, cream, hard cheeses, butter,...) - 4 months 
Long life yoghurts - 3 months 
Soft cream cheese - 4 weeks
